Today is a very special day for us. At Santana Motors, we return to our roots to look toward the future — and we do so by unveiling the very first images of our new vehicles: the Santana 400 PHEV and the Santana 400D. Two models that embody everything we stand for — strength, technology, and adventure — while opening a new chapter in off-road capability.
From Linares, where the heart of our brand beats, we’ve worked with a clear goal: to create vehicles capable of overcoming any obstacle, on and off the road, without compromising comfort, efficiency, or the legendary reliability that defines Santana Motors.
The Santana 400 PHEV
The Santana 400 PHEV represents our most advanced step forward — a plug-in hybrid pick-up offering up to 120 km of electric range and more than 1,000 km of combined range. Its powertrain delivers 429 hp and 800 Nm of torque, ensuring instant response and smooth performance in every environment. Thanks to its 32 kWh battery with DC fast charging, it allows fully electric, zero-emission driving — perfect for daily work or protected rural areas.
Santana 400D
The Santana 400D, meanwhile, preserves the purest off-road spirit. Its 2.3-liter diesel engine with 190 hp provides reliability, mechanical simplicity, and low operating costs. It’s the ideal companion for those who value toughness, versatility, and a double-cab design with seating for five passengers and a comprehensive list of standard driver-assistance technologies.
Both versions have been engineered to master any terrain, featuring 240 mm of ground clearance, an approach angle of 31°, departure angle of 26°, breakover angle of 39°, and a wading depth of 800 mm. Their 1,520 × 1,600 × 550 mm cargo bed offers over 1,100 liters of capacity, more than 800 kg of payload, and up to 3,200 kg of towing capability — making them equally ready for hard work or pure adventure.
After more than two million kilometers of testing under extreme conditions, we are proud to say that Santana’s legacy is back — stronger than ever. Production will take place at our Santana Factory in Linares (Jaén, Spain), which is currently being upgraded to resume full industrial activity.
We have already secured agreements with over 30 dealerships across Spain, Italy, Portugal, Andorra, and Gibraltar, and will soon reveal the full specifications, trims, and pricing details.
